Phenomenal experience! Being able to see again without glasses is mindblowing. I couldn’t ever imagine going back to them after this! I'd been weighing in on the decision to have a vision correction surgery (SMILE) for several years before I finally pulled the trigger. I now think I should have done a while ago. My experience over many years with Wang Vision Institute has been consistently fantastic. While I had Lasik many years ago, when my vision began bothering me several years ago, I first visited Wang, thinking I could get a 'touch up.' To their credit they gave me the most comprehensive exam ever and diagnosed severe dry eye as the culprit, and advised against further surgery at that time. I visited again every couple of years and always received great treatment, with a thorough exam...and continued reccos to hold off on surgery. I think this reflects their integrity and the fact they are not in any way looking to just churn patients for $$. This year I returned and explored the forever young lens, as needing glasses for reading and call it arm-length vision was making me crazy. I had the surgery about 2 weeks ago and am so happy I did - the entire experience was seamless, everyone was great, and the results are exactly as hoped and as explained. Starting with Suzanne Gentry, who remembered me from previous visits and aided in getting the initial appointment, to Scott Haugen, the technician (who also remembered me - impressive they have staff with such tenure!), Cameron Daniels the surgery coordinator, who had to help with a few re-schedules, and of course my surgeon, Dr. Guduru, everyone was honest, helpful, kind and professional. Amanda West was my most recent technician, and also great. The staff at the surgery center was also top-notch.The procedure itself was less than an hour; you get to take the rest of the day to rest and the next day you probably will stay off of most devices, but you can already see better. I would highly recco Wang Vision, and the forever young procedure! More

Amazing results and an incredible experience. As an EMS Helicopter Pilot my vision directly affects the safety of my crew and the patients we carry. When I began noticing vision problems (cataracts) that were reaching the limit of what my glasses could correct I began looking for options. After speaking with several people in the medical field and other pilots, the clear choice (pun intended) was Wang Vision Institute. Time was of the essence because I was not going to be able to fly once I got the process started and they were able to get me in for an exam and scheduled my surgery almost immediately. I believe it was Scott that performed my initial exam and you couldn’t ask for a nicer guy. Very patient and willing to answer all of my questions. Most of which were “what does that thingy do?” After my initial assessment I met with Dr Zimmerman who explained all of their findings to me and made sure I understood my condition and what my options were. I did not feel that anyone tried to “up-sell” anything or get me to buy anything I didn’t want. As a mater of fact he recommended against the most costly option based on my needs. I knew exactly what I needed and what I was paying for. My lens replacement surgery was performed by Dr Guduru who was more than accommodating and worked with me on scheduling. To say I was nervous was an understatement. The entire staff at the eye surgery clinic put me at ease (the Valium may have helped). Dr Guduru did an excellent job on the surgery and I was amazed at the results only hours after the surgery when the sedative wore off. The worst part of the process was the wait between getting both eyes done. Less than 3 days after having my second eye done, my vision is better now than it has been at any point in my life (20/15). I know results can vary and it is a lot of money to spend but much like a divorce; eye surgery is expensive because it is worth it. More

I had the new Smile (similar to Lasik) Surgery at Wang Vision this Monday (12/18). I can't say enough great things but I will start by saying my whole experience was the easiest most pleasant experience I have had with a medical entity. First off, I called the Friday before and they fit me in on the following Monday. Suzanne was very knowledgeable and answered all my questions and even worked around my work schedule. Came in Monday morning at 8 for my evaluation. Scott who has been working at Wang for 13 years did my initial eye tests and also put my nerves at ease. He was very personable and knowledgeable as well. After the eval, they told me I could come back the same day for the procedure so of course that is what I did because if I would have went home then I probably would have talked myself out of it. Next I met with my coordinator and doctor. Dr. Guduru and Kayla. Also, very kind and professional. Next was the actual surgery, nerves kicked in but all the staff helped me feel comfortable. Dr. Guduru and Dennis both talked me through the procedure. They counted down the seconds, gave me percent complete stats, and just reassured me the whole time. The procedure is only a few minutes, doesn't hurt at all, and you can see (a little blurry) right afterwards. I came back the next day and my vision had already improved tremendously. I can't say enough good things about this clinic and the team at Wang Vision. More

After the eval, they told me I could come back the same day for the procedure so of course that is what I did because if I would have went home then I probably would have talked myself out of it. Next I met with my coordinator and doctor. Dr. Guduru and Kayla. Also, very kind and professional. Next was the actual surgery, nerves kicked in but all the staff helped me feel comfortable. Dr. Guduru and Dennis both talked me through the procedure. They counted down the seconds, gave me percent complete stats, and just reassured me the whole time. The procedure is only a few minutes, doesn't hurt at all, and you can see (a little blurry) right afterwards. I came back the next day and my vision had already improved tremendously. I live in Arkansas and chose to have my eyes checked at Wang Vision Institute and I'm so glad that I did! I had RK surgery done back in the early 90's and had scar tissue and residual problems with astigmatism years later. I was told by other Dr's there was nothing I could do to fix the problems. I met with Dr. Guduru and he was very confidant he could help me. I had to sign a waiver that stated, I would still have to wear reading glasses, but that was better than having to wear glasses all the time. Well I'm 2 weeks post op on my left eye, and 1 week post op on my right eye. I can read near and far, and couldn't be happier with the outcome! My eyesight is only going to continue to get better! My mother went in for Cataracts Surgery & we tried out Wang Vision Institute based on the positive reviews. We're happy to report that my mother no longer needs reading glasses! We received detailed instructions on how the surgery was to be performed, where to go, and what to do after. Dr. Guduru did the surgery & we were in & out in about 3 hours. I chose Wang Vision over other facilities because they have a relocation of being the best and I’d have to say that I completely agree! I’m 48 and just got lasik surgery on both eyes. They were able to correct to my distance vision without having to lose my close up vision so now I don’t need glasses or contacts at all! No distance or reading glasses. Dr. Guduru performed my procedure and Cameron was my coordinator and both have been wonderful! The site staff are always very friendly and helpful. The facility is beautiful, clean and comfortable and even have drinks and snacks for you while you wait (although I’ve never waited more than 5 minutes for my appointments). They are adamant about you keeping your FU appoints and reaching out to them with questions or concerns. I just completed my final follow up appointment and my eyes have healed beautifully and zero complications. After speaking with Dr. Zimmerman I went ahead and chose to do SMILE immediately following my consultation. Dr. Guduru completed the procedure. He was fantastic along with his assistants. I am 71 years old and went into Wang to remove cataracts from both eyes; however, they discovered that my left eye had a severe retina issue. Wang suggested I go to the Tennessee Retina Center which was a great suggestion. I now have had lasik surgery and cataract removal on both eyes at Wang. Dr. Guduru performed the surgery and was the kindest and most informative physician I have ever had during my many years. Exceptional service from all of the staff. Very efficient and friendly. My wife was nervous at the thought of having an operation on her eyes and having all the tests done to examine them, but everyone was so friendly and patient enough to thoroughly explain each step, recovery, and what to expect to feel during and after the procedure. Cameron Daniels was the surgical coordinator and they did a wonderful job making a payment plan suitable for us and made setting up a date quick and easy. She was operated on by Dr. Guduru, and he did a phenomenal job making sure she didn't experience any pain or discomfort during the ICL procedure so much so that she felt a bit silly for being scared and worried in the beginning. Hindsight is 20/20 and now so is my vision. Im glad I went to Wang Vision Institute for my vision correction surgery. I've worn contacts, and reluctantly glasses for over 20 years. I travel a lot and knowing I will struggle with very dry contacts every time I fly is stressful. I've wanted vision correction for years but never found the right place and price. WVI wasn't even the first place I looked into around the Nashville area. I didn't feel comfortable until I met with Dr. Wang's team. Its not a giant office so faces become familiar and the staff knows you too. I saw the same Doctor from consultation through my follow-up appointments. I don't even get that with my PCM. It turns out the procedure wasn't more expensive but WVI does offer more advanced, less invasive procedures. From the initial evaluation and throughout the entire process, the team at Wang Vision Institute provided me with all the information I needed to make an appropriate decision as to what I needed and wanted to do, discussing the pros & cons. When I went in for the evaluation, I could read NOTHING on the eye chart, not even the top line without glasses. Now, after he finished my surgery, I am already reading print in books, newspapers, at the bottom of tv programs, and recipes! For a funny (and TRUE) story, four days after my final eye surgery, I guess it was because I was seeing so much better, I actually dreamed I was threading a needle (being used to sewing all my life & in recent years was having so much trouble doing this)! Dr. Guduru performed cataract surgery on my eyes two weeks apart in late January and early February. Four weeks after surgery in my right eye and two weeks after surgery in the left, I am testing at 20/20 in each eye and in the two combined. I am elated. My distance vision is excellent, and my midrange vision is much better than I had a right to expect. I don't need reading glasses to use my desktop computer, though I do for close-up reading. That's pretty much par for the course. WVI's heavy regimen of steroids post-surgery was successful in reducing swelling in the eyes from trauma. I had none of the blurriness that some cataract patients report after surgery. I didn't know what to expect going into this, but my recovery has been painless and seamless. More

Our son had his vision corrected here. His vision was so bad his glasses were "coke bottle" thick. We went in they told us he would be able to get the Smile reduction due to how bad his eyes were. The procedure would get him to 20/40. Kayla worked with us and our schedule to plan it out. She kept in contact and answered all of our questions. The day of the procedure they were all very helpful. This place gave us a complimentary consult and same day treatment, which was great considering I work as a welder and can't wear my glasses at work - so I was able to plan this around our annual shut down. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, even when things got a little difficult with the HSA card. We got there about 15 minutes early and got called back right away, exam was fast and easy, took a few minutes for the doctor to come back, he was friendly and examined me quickly, answering all of our questions thoroughly and without making us feel any type of way about them, the financial coordinator took a while to come in, but was helpful one he got in there and explained the pricing for us, even helped us apply for financing. The front helped us deal with HSA card issues, worked with my night shift schedule, and I even checked in on Facebook and got my girlfriend a Starbucks gift card! The only complaint about that process is some of the things they "upsold" us on - I didn't feel like gave the best explanation. The eyelid cleaning - was a HORRIBLE experience and I wouldn't ever get that or recommend it to anyone. I felt like it was a waste of money, didn't do much, but also wasn't fully explained just recommended/told I had to get. The lady who did it cleaned them with a brush, which was fine, but then used the bright light (without telling me it would be a bright light, right after my eyes were dilated) and shoved it into my eye socket, even when I pulled back and told her it was really tough her response "yeah it's a little uncomfortable" with a laugh - just felt like she didn't truly know how to do it right and caused a lot of pain before I even had the procedure. I asked for the Valium beforehand/told her they should give it before that as I was already anxious - she just laughed and said I get it after. My girlfriend even went home and watched some videos on the treatment and says that is NOT how the lady did it - for $650 an eye I feel like that should've been a better experience. I also think they could've explained the SMILE procedure itself a little better and how the flow would go - I was anxious about the laser, but not being able to move at all for thirty seconds sent my anxiety and blood pressure skyrocketing - and I feel I would've been better prepared if they told me ahead of time what to expect. I also got the little tear duct plugs they recommend - and then at the follow up the next day had to have one taken out, just didn't make sense, if they were that needed why was it removed next day, but the rest stay for 3-4 months. Overall I had a good experience and I would do it again without question. My vision was improved that day, and other than a little blurriness I'm able to see without corrective lenses for the first time in my life - and I had HORRIBLE vision. I just wish they had explained a little more and helped me feel fully confident in everything I paid for. To anyone wanting to get it done - they were great, I wouldn't personally recommend the eyelid cleaning - BUT the staff was amazing and the procedure has changed my life. More

I went in for a vision consultation on a Wednesday and was able to have SMILE surgery the same day. The staff and providers made me feel extremely well cared for from start to finish. I am probably leaving off some people, but Dennis, Cameron, and Dr. Koch were fantastic. My surgery was done by Dr. Jones with James as the tech. I was extremely nervous and I just cannot say enough kind things about how calm and relaxed they made me feel. As for the surgery itself, it was not as bad as I thought it would be, and the difference was noticeable immediately and has continued to get better. I had the opportunity of meeting Dr. Wang several years ago, and he was very kind with a great reputation, so when the time came to finally have vision correction surgery, Wang Vision Institute was a no-brainer. One word to describe the experience is perfect. I schedule a consultation in which it was free. They informed me about all the types of procedures there is.I have very high long sightedness and astigmatism. I qualified for all of procedures but recommended me for the SMILE procedure. On surgery day 11/07/22 they went over the DOs and DONTs post surgery. It was my first surgery but I was not nervous I had faith everything was going to go well. Dr.wang and the nurses made sure I was taken care off. The doctor prayed for me before the surgery which gave me more reinsurance everything was going to be okay. The surgery went very well, I had no pain I only experience blurriness which is very normal. Gave me all the drops I need to take. After surgery I made sure to keep my eyes closed as much as possible. Today as I am writing this on 11/08/22 I had post surgery appointment in which they checked my eyes told me I have 20/20 vision. My recovery is doing well as they expected it to be. Made sure I have all the drops I need to be taking. Overall the nurses and doctor made everything very clear. I’m very thankful for the staff. Hello everyone, I've had bad eyesight since 3rd grade and my prescription for the year 2022 was about -7.5 in both eyes. In other words, i was totally blind. I couldn't even find my glasses in the morning because i couldn't see them. I've thought about getting corrective surgery for years but it always terrified me. This year I just got fed up with the struggle of wearing glasses and decided to see if I qualified for it. At Wang vision institute, I qualified for Lasik and Smile. I decided to go with smile, even though it can be pretty costly, because I wanted the best treatment for my eyes since they were so bad and it was less invasive. I had the surgery the same day and even though i was extremely anxious and nervous, I was able to go through it because Dr. Wang made me feel like I was in good hands.
