Because of Dr. Guduru my eyesight went from 20/200 to 20/20 in less than 24 hours after the surgery. Before seeing Dr. Guduru both me eyes had an astigmatism, and my left eye was recovering from a recent retinal attachment surgery. This made my vision solely dependent on my right eye, which itself was at 20/200. Dr. Guduru took the time to answer all my questions and concerns regarding the cataract and laser surgery for my left and right eye. Cameron made sure to research all my health insurance options and make the insurance billing process smooth and painless.Because of Dr. Guduru my vision is back to 20/20, where it was when I was in my twenties. I would like to thank Dr. Guduru, Cameron and the entire staff at Wang Vision Institute for providing exceptional customer service and turning what could have been a dark period in my life into a rebirth and a new sense of optimism!!! At 69 years old, the doctors at Wang Vision Institute told me that I needed cataract surgery to replace the old lens with a new one in each eye. Since I also have unilateral keratoconus and an “intact” permanently implanted in my left eye by Dr Wang, I would only consider Wang Vision Institute (WVI) to do the surgery since they are world leaders in treating this condition. Without my contact lenses on, I couldn’t read anything on the eye chart, not even the big E, because of being very nearsighted. I told Dr. Guduru that I didn’t want any fancy lenses implanted in my eye, just basic ones and figured I would adjust as needed with contact lenses. I had the left cataract affected lens removed and replaced a week ago and the right one yesterday, the results are staggering. Scott at WVI tested my vision today and it is close to 20/20!!!! Without any glasses or contact lenses!!! I haven’t seen this well in literally 60 years!!! Dr Guduru is my surgeon at WVI. He is an amazing surgeon and has done hundreds (maybe more) of these surgeries. I HIGHLY recommend him and the staff at WVI to anyone who wants world-class medical eye care. Had it not been for Dr Wang inserting the intact in my eye with the advanced femto-laser over a decade ago, I would have lost more and more of my eyesight and eventually needed a corneal transplant. My ignorant ophthalmologist in my hometown did not recommend WVI for my condition, which should be medical malpractice in my book. I saw a commercial of Dr Wang ballroom dancing and called WVI myself. Now, with Dr Wang’s intact surgery (he has an M.D.from Harvard Med and a Ph.D. in laser physics from M.I.T.) and with Dr. Guduru’s expertise in using laser surgery and lens replacement, for the first time in 60 years I am seeing close to 20/20 without any need of glasses or contact lenses. As Scott explained to me, the cataracts were scattering the light and causing what I thought was myopia. I just needed new lenses. Obviously, I highly recommend WVI, Dr Wang, and Dr. Guduru for your eye care!!! More

My eyesight after laser cataract surgery is great. The Wang Vision Institute is a well organized, professional and caring eyesight correction facility. Check-in, eye exam, and identification of recommended corrective actions went smoothly. Kayla S. did an superb job in coordinating the surgery process. Let me start off with saying my treatment/surgery by the Wang Vision Institue was a "WOW" experience. From the time I made my appointment, initial consultation, Laser surgery, and post procedure follow up appointment it was a wonderful experience! The Doctors and staff at WVI are top notch. They were Professional and friendly at all times from the front desk, the technicians, nurse and doctors. I could not have been happier with the entire experience! My surgeon, Dr Guduru, exceeded all expectations! My surgery was a cataract removal and corrective lens replacement. Dr Guduru masterfully completed a difficult procedure in a timely manner. I could see the results immediately the following morning on my post operative follow-up and eye testing. If you are dealing with decreased vision from cataracts, I highly recommend WVI and Dr Guduru to return your quality of life! RN Claire was also a part of this wonderful team! More

I wanted Lasik so I could see my toddler without the hassle of glasses… and him grabbing them all the time. The atmosphere at WVI and the staff are all great! From start to finish everyone was welcoming and friendly. Amanda started my work up, the Dr. Wys got my prescription figured out perfectly and all of the details of the surgery clearly stated. Cameron came in to discuss pricing and Dr. Guduru worked his magic with the laser. I’m still in the early stages of healing but being able to see my toddler without glasses has already been magical! This place gave us a complimentary consult and same day treatment, which was great considering I work as a welder and can't wear my glasses at work - so I was able to plan this around our annual shut down. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, even when things got a little difficult with the HSA card. We got there about 15 minutes early and got called back right away, exam was fast and easy, took a few minutes for the doctor to come back, he was friendly and examined me quickly, answering all of our questions thoroughly and without making us feel any type of way about them, the financial coordinator took a while to come in, but was helpful one he got in there and explained the pricing for us, even helped us apply for financing. The front helped us deal with HSA card issues, worked with my night shift schedule, and I even checked in on Facebook and got my girlfriend a Starbucks gift card! The only complaint about that process is some of the things they "upsold" us on - I didn't feel like gave the best explanation. The eyelid cleaning - was a HORRIBLE experience and I wouldn't ever get that or recommend it to anyone. I felt like it was a waste of money, didn't do much, but also wasn't fully explained just recommended/told I had to get. The lady who did it cleaned them with a brush, which was fine, but then used the bright light (without telling me it would be a bright light, right after my eyes were dilated) and shoved it into my eye socket, even when I pulled back and told her it was really tough her response "yeah it's a little uncomfortable" with a laugh - just felt like she didn't truly know how to do it right and caused a lot of pain before I even had the procedure. I asked for the Valium beforehand/told her they should give it before that as I was already anxious - she just laughed and said I get it after. My girlfriend even went home and watched some videos on the treatment and says that is NOT how the lady did it - for $650 an eye I feel like that should've been a better experience. I also think they could've explained the SMILE procedure itself a little better and how the flow would go - I was anxious about the laser, but not being able to move at all for thirty seconds sent my anxiety and blood pressure skyrocketing - and I feel I would've been better prepared if they told me ahead of time what to expect. I also got the little tear duct plugs they recommend - and then at the follow up the next day had to have one taken out, just didn't make sense, if they were that needed why was it removed next day, but the rest stay for 3-4 months. Overall I had a good experience and I would do it again without question. My vision was improved that day, and other than a little blurriness I'm able to see without corrective lenses for the first time in my life - and I had HORRIBLE vision. I just wish they had explained a little more and helped me feel fully confident in everything I paid for. To anyone wanting to get it done - they were great, I wouldn't personally recommend the eyelid cleaning - BUT the staff was amazing and the procedure has changed my life. More
