I would 100% recommend! The staff and doctors are very professional and personable. They really listen to what is going on with your sight as an individual. Their knowledge and technology are state of the art and current. They are so detailed with the evaluation process of your eyes. Without divulging all the details, I was loosing sight in my right eye. My prescription was maxed out to as good as it could be and my right eye was only worsening. My livelihood requires I see well because I’m reading on the computer all day. Dr. Gudura did my surgery and I couldn’t ask for better care! I can see better than I have in 30 years! 20/20 vision now! No more glasses indefinitely! C’mon, it’s your sight. Amazing experience! Just like you who is reading this I was very nervous about my visit. I read the great reviews and being the skeptical person I am took the positive things I read about Wang with a grain of salt. I was scheduled for a Lasik consultation and surgery the same day as long as everything checks out well. The staff was unbelievable. Scott did my preliminary evaluations and was just a blast of positive energy. He really made my nerves go away and brightened up my day both the day of my operation and post op check up. Dr.Guduru did my surgery and also carries himself with an amazing energy. He did a fantastic job, I now have 20/15 vision. I am about 30 hours post op and aside from slightly dry eyes this is just unbelievable. From walking in, to surgery, to post op, everyone was fantastic. I had an amazing experience with Wang Vision. My coordinator Cameron Daniels was very thorough in explaining the whole process ahead of time and addressing any concerns. My surgeon Dr. Jones was very quick and professional and checked my eyes multiple times after to make sure everything was okay. I was convinced I would mess it up but I felt reassured the whole time. I am resending it via Google as a review of my experience with your outstanding Ophthalmology practice. _______________________________________________________________ Dear Dr. Wang, I do not expect you to remember me, but I worked with you as a Circulating/Pre-Op Nurse when you were still doing procedures at the Oral Surgery Institute at 500 28th Ave North in Nashville in I believe 2010-2011. While my time there was somewhat brief, and unfortunately unpleasant, my finest memories while there were of working with you, and your patients. I never forgot how you always prayed with your patients before you began, and how kind, pleasant, courteous, and considerate you were to everyone that worked with you. You were also particularly kind and encouraging to me, praising my work to my supervisor, for the manner in which I cared for your patients before and after surgery, something that I never forgot. When I left my employment there I made a promise to myself, that if I ever had the means to have surgery on my eyes, (my vision has always been poor, and cataracts, the bane of aging as of the last few years.) that I would have it done by you. I am pleased to say that of this month and year, August 6th, and August 13th, your associate Dr. Guduro performed Left and Right cataract removals with intraocular lens implants for me, and the results (at this early stage anyway) are spectacular. I have nothing but praise for everyone that I came in contact with at your wonderful facility, but I need to single out first of all, Dr G, who was exceptionally professional, and personally very pleasant and amiable. Just had my SMILE procedure done at Wang Vision Institute yesterday 07/10/24. And it is incredible how quickly my eyes are healing and vision is improving! I had my post-op appointment today and I am already seeing 20/20 less than 24 hours after surgery! The surgery was done by Dr. Guduru. He did a great job. He was very calm and gave great instructions of what to do during surgery. I highly recommend him. The surgery was intense and definitely not something I want to do everyday haha, but Dr. Guduru did a fantastic job. Gabby was with me for most of the day before my surgery doing eye tests and talking me through what the day would look like. She also assisted Dr. Guduru during surgery. She has a beautiful personality and is an incredible sweet and genuine woman. She helped make my experience better. I also saw Dr. Zimmerman for my consultation before surgery. He was very personable and informative. He explained everything and answered all my question. I appreciated him taking his time and not rushing the consultation. It’s been about 3 months since my surgery, and I would say overall that I’m happy with it and that my experience was positive. I now have good vision in both eyes, but there were a couple of issues I had during the process. During my screening, the doctor was explaining the differences between lasik and smile and showed me a video explaining the differences between them. When he came back to the room he told me I wasn’t eligible for either because my corneas were too thin. It wasn’t a major deal just unfortunate timing after deciding I wanted to get smile. I ended up proceeding with PRK surgery since that was my only option. The more frustrating part of the process was that the focus of the doctor and the healing process was my total vision and not being concerned about my eyes individually. My left eye has not healed as well as my right eye, and although I can technically see 20-20, I do get quite a bit of blur if I’m just looking out of the one eye. The doctor would dismiss this blurring because I can see 20-20. I understand his point because in day to day life I won’t be closing one eye, but it was frustrating when I paid and expected to get both eyes corrected. Overall I’m still happy I got PRK. I can now see perfectly fine both close and far. I know there’s risk when getting eye surgery and the healing process of the eye is out of the surgeons control, I just wanted people to know of the difficulties I had during the process. More

It took me almost 20 years to get my eyes corrected just because I am very frightened of eyes surgery. However, I’m very glad and thankful that I chose Wang Vision Institute for my eyes surgery. I just got SMILE surgery done 4 days ago by Dr. Guduru who is very knowledgeable and excellent at what he is doing. Also, Nurse Gabby is very friendly and helpful with calming me through the surgery. My son was turned away by a different Lasik doctor. After doing research and finding a doctor who handles cases with extremely bad vision, Wang Vision Institute told me that they would be able to help my son. Everyone in the office was very professional and helpful. Dr. Zimmerman was very knowledgeable and explained in detail the process. Since my son's vision was poor, he showed him that there was a chance of only getting 75% vision of what his current glasses were. We decided to go with the procedure. Cameron, who was the coordinator came in and explained payment process, along with options we had. Again, we were happy with pricing and decided to continue with surgery. Karen cleaned my son's eyes and then helped him to the surgery room. Dr. Jones was very patient with my son and did an excellent job performing the Lasik surgery. With my extremely high astigmatism and poor eyesight (to the point of being legally blind without contacts or glasses), I was only eligible for the ICL procedure. Despite the potential for some remaining astigmatism that could be addressed through a touch-up LASIK procedure, I decided to undergo the surgery. Following the surgery, one of my eyes did heal with a small amount of astigmatism still present. However, three months later, I was able to have a touch-up procedure to correct it, although I was quite anxious about the outcome. In comparison to the ICL procedure, the surgery was a bit more rough for me. Nevertheless, after two months, I'm delighted to report that my vision has improved to 20/20. I’ve never had 20/20 even with corrective lenses. Dr. Jones did both surgeries. More

I had my SMILE lasik done here 3 weeks ago & couldn’t be happier. I was so pleasantly surprised with this experience! I definitely went in nervous, I don’t like things close to my eyes, but it was only 2-3 minutes each eye & the actual laser part was only 23 seconds (I know because they count down this part which is very comforting). Bedside manner was excellent for all involved, especially Dr. Gudury & his assistant. They were so reassuring, confident, and the best pair I’ve been around in the medical field. Kayln was also great to talk to, very kind & informative. I was astonished I could see the same day & could see things farther away more clearly than before but just seemed like a light fog/looking through very watery eyes the first day. Everyday I progressed significantly. My surgery was on a Friday, on Monday at my follow up I could already see better than 20/20! I like to sew & my vision was only still a little blurry when trying to thread a needle at this point, but now I can see perfectly even doing that. I have had vision issues from my teenage issues into my early 40s. I went in and was able to get an assessement and the SMILE surgery within the same day by Kayla and Dr Jones. I opted for the SMILE procedure to minimize the dry eye issues i have. Overall the surgery was very painless and lasted < 30 minutes. By the end of it i could see with only a light white fogging right after the procedure. Following that i mostly slept the rest of the day (Friday). Saturday I stayed in bed mostly listening to the comedians with my eyes closed to minimize any dry eye issues. Note I could see clearly but had itchy eyes through the weekend. I went back on Monday to find that my vision was now 20-20. Overall couldn't be happier with the procedure. So glad I went here to get my eyes fixed. I was worried how bad the procedure would be or the pain afterwards and I don't think it's bad at all. Basically you will feel like you have sawdust in your eyes for the recuperating period. Amazing results and an incredible experience. As an EMS Helicopter Pilot my vision directly affects the safety of my crew and the patients we carry. When I began noticing vision problems (cataracts) that were reaching the limit of what my glasses could correct I began looking for options. After speaking with several people in the medical field and other pilots, the clear choice (pun intended) was Wang Vision Institute. Time was of the essence because I was not going to be able to fly once I got the process started and they were able to get me in for an exam and scheduled my surgery almost immediately. I believe it was Scott that performed my initial exam and you couldn’t ask for a nicer guy. Very patient and willing to answer all of my questions. Most of which were “what does that thingy do?” After my initial assessment I met with Dr Zimmerman who explained all of their findings to me and made sure I understood my condition and what my options were. I did not feel that anyone tried to “up-sell” anything or get me to buy anything I didn’t want. As a mater of fact he recommended against the most costly option based on my needs. I knew exactly what I needed and what I was paying for. My lens replacement surgery was performed by Dr Guduru who was more than accommodating and worked with me on scheduling. To say I was nervous was an understatement. The entire staff at the eye surgery clinic put me at ease (the Valium may have helped). Dr Guduru did an excellent job on the surgery and I was amazed at the results only hours after the surgery when the sedative wore off. The worst part of the process was the wait between getting both eyes done. Less than 3 days after having my second eye done, my vision is better now than it has been at any point in my life (20/15). I know results can vary and it is a lot of money to spend but much like a divorce; eye surgery is expensive because it is worth it. More

My experience with the team at Wang has been beyond my expectations! I came in white knuckle nervous because my eyes are extremely sensitive, however everyone was exceptionally kind and thoughtful from the way things were explained to how they actually performed the procedure. I have been in glasses since I was 9 years old and now at almost 27 I can ditch the hassle of wearing glasses. #cataracts #dryeye #IPL My husband and I originally came to see Dr. Wang for cataract surgery - Dr. Wang did the surgery for both of us. He has an exceptional bedside manner and his skillful surgeon's hands have done many an eye surgery. Our new lenses have worked out beautifully. Most recently, we've both been treated for dry eye. I never knew it was an actual affliction, it sounds so Visine-gets-the-red-out kind of problem. But, it's a big problem and it affected our vision, so we highed ourselves back to the Wang Vision Institute. This time, we met Dr. Wysiadlowski ("Dr. Wish") who has introduced to the Wang Institute IPL (intense pulsed light) as a treatment for dry eye and roasacea and hyperpigmentation that also by the way improves the collagen in your skin. Yup. All of that and it's non-invasive. IPL does quite a lot, so you should call them and ask. Also, Wang Vision Institute has a nice range of medical spa procedures. Today was my very last session and I'll still need to go in for annual refreshes. My dry eye is almost cured. I still have to use some prescription drops, but that's an itty bitty inconvenience for the clarity of vision that I now have. Cherry on top is that Dr. Wish is lovely. He has been very attentive in treating me. The IPL pulse is quite bright and that alone makes me twitch, which makes him check on me often. I'll happily go back to see Dr. Wish in 6 months. Wang Vision Institute is the first place I think of when it comes to my family's eye health. More

Let me start off with saying my treatment/surgery by the Wang Vision Institue was a "WOW" experience. From the time I made my appointment, initial consultation, Laser surgery, and post procedure follow up appointment it was a wonderful experience! The Doctors and staff at WVI are top notch. They were Professional and friendly at all times from the front desk, the technicians, nurse and doctors. I could not have been happier with the entire experience! My surgeon, Dr Guduru, exceeded all expectations! My surgery was a cataract removal and corrective lens replacement. Dr Guduru masterfully completed a difficult procedure in a timely manner. I could see the results immediately the following morning on my post operative follow-up and eye testing. I had a very good experience with getting the Smile procedure. It is 3 months after my procedure. I definitely did my research beforehand, and asked the doctor many questions, and he answered every one. The procedure itself was quick, (a few minutes per eye) and I did not feel any pain. Still a bit nerve-wracking, but the doctor talks you through it. Blurred vision the day of the procedure is normal. They say to keep your eyes closed as much as possible the rest of the day, and try to sleep. The first week of recovery was the most challenging because you have to put many different medicated drops in. But it’s worth it, I believe! The first day was the hardest, but every day gets progressively better afterwards. I had 20/20 vision the day after the procedure! Pretty amazing. But I was sensitive to light for a few days. I had the starburst affect on lights at night for a few weeks. But it got progressively better. And they did not ‘bribe’ me to leave a 5-star review! I truly had a great experience. I originally had LASIK back in 1999 and it was amazing but, just like the doctor shared, when I turned 45, my vision began to change. I always knew another enhancement was an option but this year I decided it was time.I first thought I would have the procedure done through my regular eye doctor (who offered vision enhancement procedures) but when they failed to call me back after numerous attempts to learn more, I decided not to trust my vision to someone who couldn’t even return a phone call. At that point, I decided to call WVI. I selected the WVI because I knew they were the best in town. When I called, they actually remembered that I had called the previous year to ask questions. I live in Arkansas and chose to have my eyes checked at Wang Vision Institute and I'm so glad that I did! I had RK surgery done back in the early 90's and had scar tissue and residual problems with astigmatism years later. I was told by other Dr's there was nothing I could do to fix the problems. I met with Dr. Guduru and he was very confidant he could help me. I had to sign a waiver that stated, I would still have to wear reading glasses, but that was better than having to wear glasses all the time. Well I'm 2 weeks post op on my left eye, and 1 week post op on my right eye. I can read near and far, and couldn't be happier with the outcome! My eyesight is only going to continue to get better! I chose Wang Vision over other facilities because they have a relocation of being the best and I’d have to say that I completely agree! I’m 48 and just got lasik surgery on both eyes. They were able to correct to my distance vision without having to lose my close up vision so now I don’t need glasses or contacts at all! No distance or reading glasses. Dr. Guduru performed my procedure and Cameron was my coordinator and both have been wonderful! The site staff are always very friendly and helpful. The facility is beautiful, clean and comfortable and even have drinks and snacks for you while you wait (although I’ve never waited more than 5 minutes for my appointments). They are adamant about you keeping your FU appoints and reaching out to them with questions or concerns. I just completed my final follow up appointment and my eyes have healed beautifully and zero complications. I appreciate this practice and have changed to make them my primacy optometrist/ophthalmologist. I would definitely recommend Wang Vision institute! More

Wow, this was a great experience all the way around! I'd been considering getting LASIK for years when I finally decided to just go for the consultation and exam. After hearing about the SMILE procedure, choosing Wang Vision Institute was a no brainer. I'm not normally nervous about anything, but I was a little keyed up waiting for my exam and to find out if I was a good candidate. However, *everyone* I interacted with was so calm and friendly that it all felt normal and routine. **Cameron** is an amazing surgical counselor, who took the time to make sure I understood the commitment involved with the surgery. My technicians Scott, Kayla, James and especially **Amanda W.** helped me through every step of the process. (Amanda is so awesome - I felt like my eyes were getting a relaxing, warm spa treatment!) And Baileah did an excellent job coordinating payment and scheduling for my surgery and post-op follow ups. Dr. Zimmerman examined the current state of my eyesight and helped me understand exactly what was going to happen during the SMILE procedure. And I can't praise **Dr. Guduru** enough for his calm manner and precision that got me through the hardest part of the SMILE surgery with flying colors. Besides the outstanding staff, you can expect the exam day to be long because you can get your procedure done the same day if you are a good candidate. (There are complimentary snacks & water while you go through all the tests and exam.) And you do need someone to go with you so they can drive you home while you close/rest your eyes. I slept through the drive, the rest of the afternoon, and right into the night. By morning, my vision was significantly improved and by my first post-op, I was seeing 20/13 vision! It's really important to follow the post-surgery routine as closely as possible for your eyes to heal. I contribute both Dr. Guduru's skill and the post-surgery routine to my excellent recovery. This place gave us a complimentary consult and same day treatment, which was great considering I work as a welder and can't wear my glasses at work - so I was able to plan this around our annual shut down. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, even when things got a little difficult with the HSA card. We got there about 15 minutes early and got called back right away, exam was fast and easy, took a few minutes for the doctor to come back, he was friendly and examined me quickly, answering all of our questions thoroughly and without making us feel any type of way about them, the financial coordinator took a while to come in, but was helpful one he got in there and explained the pricing for us, even helped us apply for financing. The front helped us deal with HSA card issues, worked with my night shift schedule, and I even checked in on Facebook and got my girlfriend a Starbucks gift card! The only complaint about that process is some of the things they "upsold" us on - I didn't feel like gave the best explanation. The eyelid cleaning - was a HORRIBLE experience and I wouldn't ever get that or recommend it to anyone. I felt like it was a waste of money, didn't do much, but also wasn't fully explained just recommended/told I had to get. The lady who did it cleaned them with a brush, which was fine, but then used the bright light (without telling me it would be a bright light, right after my eyes were dilated) and shoved it into my eye socket, even when I pulled back and told her it was really tough her response "yeah it's a little uncomfortable" with a laugh - just felt like she didn't truly know how to do it right and caused a lot of pain before I even had the procedure. I asked for the Valium beforehand/told her they should give it before that as I was already anxious - she just laughed and said I get it after. My girlfriend even went home and watched some videos on the treatment and says that is NOT how the lady did it - for $650 an eye I feel like that should've been a better experience. I also think they could've explained the SMILE procedure itself a little better and how the flow would go - I was anxious about the laser, but not being able to move at all for thirty seconds sent my anxiety and blood pressure skyrocketing - and I feel I would've been better prepared if they told me ahead of time what to expect. I also got the little tear duct plugs they recommend - and then at the follow up the next day had to have one taken out, just didn't make sense, if they were that needed why was it removed next day, but the rest stay for 3-4 months. Overall I had a good experience and I would do it again without question. My vision was improved that day, and other than a little blurriness I'm able to see without corrective lenses for the first time in my life - and I had HORRIBLE vision. Rather than having you read about my entire great experience and then give my overall summary, I'll get straight to the point upfront. Yesterday afternoon, I had the SMILE procedure done on both eyes by Dr Wang. The following morning (today), I went back in for a post-op follow-up and both eyes are now a perfect 20/20 - in less than 24 hours! What an awesome experience! SMILE definitely made me smile! Now for background. I'm 45/m and have been wearing contacts and glasses since I was a teenager. Several years ago, my vision stabilized in both eyes at -4.75 (nearsighted). I finally felt that the time was right, to look into the options of Lasik surgery. Of course, Dr Wang was my only consideration. I arrived at Dr Wang's office and was treated so very well by all staff and doctors. I was given the expected vision tests and then told my options for correction. After careful consideration, I decided to go with SMILE. At that point, I was taken to surgery where I was placed on the operating table and prepped. Dr Wang then came into the room and introduced himself. First thing he immediately asked me to do, was close my eyes...and then he initiated a prayer over us! WOW!! Dr Wang started on my right eye first, and the procedure for my left eye went exactly the same. During the surgery Dr Wang and his staff were in constant communication with me. They guided me verbally thru the entire process...telling me what I was about to see and feel, asked how I was doing, paced my breathing, and they gave me a countdown of when certain tasks were being completed. I cannot give enough gratitude for that. I was literally in one of the most vulnerable moments in my life, and to have all their reassuring voices there to guide me, helped make it so much more comfortable. Dr Wang is truly amazing. I have NEVER been treated so well as a patient anywhere. Later that evening after the surgery, Dr Wang personally called me to check in, see how I was doing, and he reiterated how well the surgery went. How many Doctors do that?! Dr Wang is sincere, humble, and truly appreciates being able to help people. I just want to conclude, by saying once more, how much I appreciate everyone there. This review isn't just for new patients, but for the staff to see my gratitude. My vision is now perfect and my life is forever changed. To each one of you personally, THANK YOU SO MUCH! Anyone reading this that is looking to have vision correction done, I hope this helps give you a good idea of what to expect. You are in such good hands. I could immediately see well enough to drive and went shopping the next day. I have worn contacts/glasses for over 18 years. Friday, Dr. Wang performed 3D SMILE on me and now I never have to wear glasses or contacts again! The entire staff made me feel at ease and took such good care of me. Dr. Wang prayed before the procedure and verbally walked me through every step. My vision was so poor before this surgery that I could be sitting next to someone without glasses and not be able to see their facial features. This process is miraculous. I am still so overwhelmed with emotion and have been reflecting on scripture relating to blind eyes being opened in such a different light. It was difficult to drive and challenged my depth perception. This procedure drastically improved my vision and allows me to do the activities that I love again. I had -11 vision and astigmatism in both eyes. I was told by several doctors that i was not a candidate for lasik due to my prescription and astigmatism. The next day at my post opp appointment I was told that I now have 20-30 vision which was not what was expected. this was a very emotional experience for me and I could not be more happy with the outcome. money well spent! Dr. Wang and his staff are the best. They are very attentive and thoroughly monitor you through your surgery and follow ups. Dr. Wang is so knowledgeable and capable - I wouldn’t trust my eyes to anyone else! More

Cataract surgery on both eyes left me far-sighted, after many years of being near-sighted. My brother referred me to Dr. Ming Wang, who fixed my vision with LASIK surgery on one eye only. I am now able to see perfectly with no assistance, i.e. glasses or contact lenses. I am without the anxiety and disorientation I was left with following cataract surgery, and never dreamed I could have this quick and painless procedure following cataract surgery.
