I had my SMILE lasik done here 3 weeks ago & couldn’t be happier. I was so pleasantly surprised with this experience! I definitely went in nervous, I don’t like things close to my eyes, but it was only 2-3 minutes each eye & the actual laser part was only 23 seconds (I know because they count down this part which is very comforting). Bedside manner was excellent for all involved, especially Dr. Gudury & his assistant. They were so reassuring, confident, and the best pair I’ve been around in the medical field. Kayln was also great to talk to, very kind & informative. I was astonished I could see the same day & could see things farther away more clearly than before but just seemed like a light fog/looking through very watery eyes the first day. Everyday I progressed significantly. My surgery was on a Friday, on Monday at my follow up I could already see better than 20/20! I like to sew & my vision was only still a little blurry when trying to thread a needle at this point, but now I can see perfectly even doing that. He has an exceptional bedside manner and his skillful surgeon's hands have done many an eye surgery. Our new lenses have worked out beautifully. Most recently, we've both been treated for dry eye. I never knew it was an actual affliction, it sounds so Visine-gets-the-red-out kind of problem. But, it's a big problem and it affected our vision, so we highed ourselves back to the Wang Vision Institute. This time, we met Dr. Wysiadlowski ("Dr. Wish") who has introduced to the Wang Institute IPL (intense pulsed light) as a treatment for dry eye and roasacea and hyperpigmentation that also by the way improves the collagen in your skin. Yup. All of that and it's non-invasive. IPL does quite a lot, so you should call them and ask. Also, Wang Vision Institute has a nice range of medical spa procedures. Today was my very last session and I'll still need to go in for annual refreshes. My dry eye is almost cured. I still have to use some prescription drops, but that's an itty bitty inconvenience for the clarity of vision that I now have. Cherry on top is that Dr. Wish is lovely. He has been very attentive in treating me. The IPL pulse is quite bright and that alone makes me twitch, which makes him check on me often. I'll happily go back to see Dr. Wish in 6 months. Wang Vision Institute is the first place I think of when it comes to my family's eye health. More

Let me start off with saying my treatment/surgery by the Wang Vision Institue was a "WOW" experience. From the time I made my appointment, initial consultation, Laser surgery, and post procedure follow up appointment it was a wonderful experience! The Doctors and staff at WVI are top notch. They were Professional and friendly at all times from the front desk, the technicians, nurse and doctors. I could not have been happier with the entire experience! My surgeon, Dr Guduru, exceeded all expectations! My surgery was a cataract removal and corrective lens replacement. Dr Guduru masterfully completed a difficult procedure in a timely manner. I could see the results immediately the following morning on my post operative follow-up and eye testing. I wanted Lasik so I could see my toddler without the hassle of glasses… and him grabbing them all the time. The atmosphere at WVI and the staff are all great! From start to finish everyone was welcoming and friendly. Amanda started my work up, the Dr. Wys got my prescription figured out perfectly and all of the details of the surgery clearly stated. Cameron came in to discuss pricing and Dr. Guduru worked his magic with the laser. I’m still in the early stages of healing but being able to see my toddler without glasses has already been magical! This place gave us a complimentary consult and same day treatment, which was great considering I work as a welder and can't wear my glasses at work - so I was able to plan this around our annual shut down. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, even when things got a little difficult with the HSA card. We got there about 15 minutes early and got called back right away, exam was fast and easy, took a few minutes for the doctor to come back, he was friendly and examined me quickly, answering all of our questions thoroughly and without making us feel any type of way about them, the financial coordinator took a while to come in, but was helpful one he got in there and explained the pricing for us, even helped us apply for financing. The front helped us deal with HSA card issues, worked with my night shift schedule, and I even checked in on Facebook and got my girlfriend a Starbucks gift card! The only complaint about that process is some of the things they "upsold" us on - I didn't feel like gave the best explanation. The eyelid cleaning - was a HORRIBLE experience and I wouldn't ever get that or recommend it to anyone. I felt like it was a waste of money, didn't do much, but also wasn't fully explained just recommended/told I had to get. The lady who did it cleaned them with a brush, which was fine, but then used the bright light (without telling me it would be a bright light, right after my eyes were dilated) and shoved it into my eye socket, even when I pulled back and told her it was really tough her response "yeah it's a little uncomfortable" with a laugh - just felt like she didn't truly know how to do it right and caused a lot of pain before I even had the procedure. I asked for the Valium beforehand/told her they should give it before that as I was already anxious - she just laughed and said I get it after. My girlfriend even went home and watched some videos on the treatment and says that is NOT how the lady did it - for $650 an eye I feel like that should've been a better experience. I also think they could've explained the SMILE procedure itself a little better and how the flow would go - I was anxious about the laser, but not being able to move at all for thirty seconds sent my anxiety and blood pressure skyrocketing - and I feel I would've been better prepared if they told me ahead of time what to expect. I also got the little tear duct plugs they recommend - and then at the follow up the next day had to have one taken out, just didn't make sense, if they were that needed why was it removed next day, but the rest stay for 3-4 months. Overall I had a good experience and I would do it again without question. My vision was improved that day, and other than a little blurriness I'm able to see without corrective lenses for the first time in my life - and I had HORRIBLE vision. I just wish they had explained a little more and helped me feel fully confident in everything I paid for. To anyone wanting to get it done - they were great, I wouldn't personally recommend the eyelid cleaning - BUT the staff was amazing and the procedure has changed my life. More

After my husband was diagnosed with Keratoconus, he spent quite a bit of time thoroughly researching the disease and assessing specialists in the United States that treated the disease. He took time to speak to two other eye surgeon specialists about it. After weighing all the options, we decided to go with Dr. Wang and the Wang Vision Institute in Nashville. We were NOT disappointed! They thoroughly explained what was going on as a result of the disease and how the progression could be slowed with the 3D laser intacs procedure. 2 months post surgery he is doing great and we would highly recommend Dr. Wang and the Wang staff! It's difficult to explain how it feels to type this review with my naked eyes just one day after my 3D LASIK procedure. The proof is in the pudding, I suppose, since yesterday morning my vision could not even be measured on the 20/- scale. In that space on my chart, they wrote "CF3," which means "counting fingers at three feet." This morning I woke up and was able to see the faces of my family for the first time without corrective lenses. I was amazed at the crisp detail of my vision and how well my eyes were already healing. I went in for my follow-up exam today, and my vision is now 20/20, though it may get even better over the next few weeks as my eyes continue to heal. Now, you have probably figured out that you will pay more for Dr. Wang's services than you will at other laser vision providers. This is not because of hype. It's because he is the best of the best. He is so far ahead of the curve on these technologies that there is really no comparison. We had to do a lot of financial shuffling to make it work, but we believe what we were effectively paying for was a significantly increased risk of a great outcome. To use a sports analogy that will show my age, a lot of people can play basketball. Not everyone is Michael Jordan. Some helpful info to consider: -I chose to do a consultation and, if it was determined I was a candidate, have the procedure same-day. From what I understand, this is only done on Fridays. You can expect it to take up the whole day. We were not uncomfortable at all, but it would be a good idea to bring snacks and/or pack a lunch if you choose to go this route because you probably won't feel like eating after the procedure. -Each and every member of the staff was kind and genuine, took time to address all questions and concerns I (or my husband) had, and made me feel safe and comfortable. -I rejected the offer of a sedative before the procedure and was totally fine. It is a little strange to be fully aware of everything that's going on, but know that if taking mood-altering substances makes you uncomfortable, you can and will be fine without doing so. For me personally, I felt I would be better able to follow instructions and understand what was happening to me without the drugs. At no point did I feel I pressured to take or do anything. -For the rest of the day after the procedure, you will feel pretty crappy. It will be indescribably better the next day, but be prepared that the first 6-8 hours will be unpleasant. Plan to go home, lay down, and keep your eyes closed (except when you take your many eye drops) until the morning after. Plan to have someone with you at home to help you administer drops and gather things you need, as your eyes will be sore and tire easily, and your vision will still be blurry. Dr. Wang is a strong adherent to Christian faith. He prays a quick but audible prayer before every surgery he performs. While I do not share his religious beliefs, I also did not find them a barrier to our rapport. He is a man who walks the walk and doesn't just talk the talk, so to speak. Overall, I would recommend Dr. Wang to anyone who wants a laser vision surgery of any kind. I researched for two years, and in the end there was simply no one better. More

I have 20/20 vision one day after my 3D Laser Cataract Surgery with Forever Young Lens implants. The whole experience was great. I went to his seminar in Owensboro, KY and I got an appointment the following week and surgery two weeks later. The office staff are very nice and easy to work with. There was no holding on the telephone for the many questions I had and they returned my calls promptly. The whole experience was better than I expected. My husband and I are very impressed with Dr Wang and his practice. He personally called me the evening after my surgery to make sure I was doing well. He is very knowledgeable and takes his time explaining everything he does and why. He is very personable, easy to understand and great bedside manner. He is brilliant! More

My Experience LASIK 3D I called Wang Vision for lasik the new 3d lasik, the lady i spoke with was nice. I saw in the local paper there was a seminar, I went learned a lot about my particular procedure. I am 24 and I cant see far away so distance is my problem i was a -3.75 had to have glasses at all times even to watch tv or read the clock in the morning I also had a stigmatism i saw some things double vision or blurred to best describe little did i know my eye Dr Wang said there like a football is what a Stigmatism looks like in your eye. during the seminar Dr. Wang was there and got to meet the famous Wang himself not only is he a good Dr. hes a special man that god has blessed us with learned alot about his background which was hard in such a young life which he had great parents that were both smart doctors which made another great doctor. He talked about how he has helped even the blind be able to see a little from seeing black to seeing her face for the first time. So dont think your eyes cant be done. Wang helps people that truly needs it like blind orphans Thats one of the main reasons i went with Wang not only is he a great Dr. he has a heart of gold. My appointment went good every staff member he has was nice, a lot of places you go there is usually a couple that are so rude. They test you like a normal eye exam i was able to get lasik done they will tell you that day or your choice of getting it done the day of. you cant wear contacts for a week before surgery. You get medicine to calm your nerves, Dr Wang will pray on you and talk you through the whole surgery he will let you know what he is doing you wont feel anything but a little pressure it takes about 20 mins and you walk out after i got to my hotel i put the eye drops in and my eyes started feeling less dry i could see as if i was wearing my glasses right after i got up from the chair its truly amazing. you need to close your eyes and sleep after the surgery it heals when you wake up. The next morning i went back So Wang could check my eyes he said they look great, my eyes were red which is normal it was from the suction cup during the surgery it didnt hurt during the surgery just red after. Now i am on the 3rd day my eyes are still red but getting better, some peoples eyes clear right up the next day. You just have to use eye drops. ALL my stress about lasik and the laser its nothing to stress about at all! I know my review was long but these were my questions i had and i wish someone had posted this so i would know I wouldnt go any where but Wang Vision he will take care of my eyes for the rest of my life Thanks Dr Wang Very blessed that God sent me to the best. After my first 3D Laser Forever Young surgery and cataract removal, I'm excited about everything. Already, with just one surgery, colors are magnificent. Just had my laser lasik surgery and it has been great. I have worn glasses for 46 years now and dreamed of getting rid of glasses for most of them. Was really happy to find out I was a candidate for the surgery. The staff at Wang Vision Institute made the process so easy and comfortable. On the day of my surgery I was a little nervous but everyone was extremely reassuring. The procedure was completely painless and the first night was also painless. Having worn glasses most of my life, and never having had eye surgery before, I was a little apprehensive in having 3D Laser cataract surgery. I was amazed that right after the surgery I could see clearly, and the cloudiness was gone! Wow! Dr. Wang and Team are the best. I had 3-D Laser KAMRA on Friday, January 29th and on Saturday, January 30th, I could already see better from my procedure. After the procedure, I was given written step by step instructions for post op care and what to expect. Dr. Wang is the only doctor/eye surgeon I would allow to operate on my eyes. Your sight and vision is a precious gift and you should entrust it to the top doctor in this field. I would only recommend Dr. Wang to any and all prospective patients looking to have any type of eye operation and/or surgical procedure. Personally, I would not let any of my family members or friends go to any other doctor/eye surgeon. Dr. Wang has a proven track record of success; not to mention he is an inventor of many pioneering eye procedures as well as advanced technologies. He achieved outstanding academic successes at both Harvard where he received his MD and graduated with magna cum laude honors and then graduated from MIT with a PhD is Laser Physics. Dr. Wang is one of the kindest and friendliest doctors I have ever met. He completely puts you at ease prior, during and after your procedure. In my case, I had the 3D LASIK (TN’s only blade less) surgery. Dr. Wang even allowed my Dad to stay in the surgical suite during the operation for moral support which was extraordinarily kind. During the procedure, I felt no pain or discomfort. Dr. Wang kept my eyes extremely lubricated and talked me through each step of the procedure in a calm trusting voice. I was completely at ease and relaxed the entire time during the procedure—it surprised me! I thought I would be extremely nervous but I was the complete opposite: calm, cool and collected. I truly believe Dr. Wang and his wonderful surgical staff are the reasons why I was so entirely calm during my procedure. The procedure was extremely fast and I couldn’t believe it was over so quickly. The day I had 3D LASIK (TN’s only blade less technique) changed my life forever in the best way possible. It is a beautiful gift to be able to see clearly—even better than before when I wore glasses/contacts. The day after my procedure, I had a post-operative evaluation. I tested 20/20 in both my right and my left eye and together with both eyes. I have perfect vision! I will be forever grateful to Dr. Wang and his Institute for positively changing my life for the better. I have been wanting LASIK for years, but just couldn't pull the trigger. I decided to go to a Wang Vision seminar and was impressed by the Dr. Wang. I could tell he was passionate about vision correction and is on the cutting edge of laser technology. I decided to go ahead with the procedure... Since I live an hour away, I decided to get the evaluation and (hopefully) the procedure in the same day. Sure enough, I was a good candidate. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable, explaining to me each test that was run. They also answered all of my questions. Dr. Wang performed my operation, and I was done by 12:30 that day. They keep you informed up to the minute, and the evening of my Laser Cataract Surgery, I get a call at home from Dr. Wang himself, not a nurse or receptionist asking me to hold for Dr. Wang, but Dr. Wang himself calling just to check on my well-being. And he didn't call because I had some complications, there were none. The Dr. just called after a long day just to check on me and my well being. I am more than impressed.
