With my extremely high astigmatism and poor eyesight (to the point of being legally blind without contacts or glasses), I was only eligible for the ICL procedure. Despite the potential for some remaining astigmatism that could be addressed through a touch-up LASIK procedure, I decided to undergo the surgery. Following the surgery, one of my eyes did heal with a small amount of astigmatism still present. However, three months later, I was able to have a touch-up procedure to correct it, although I was quite anxious about the outcome. In comparison to the ICL procedure, the surgery was a bit more rough for me. Nevertheless, after two months, I'm delighted to report that my vision has improved to 20/20. I had my SMILE lasik done here 3 weeks ago & couldn’t be happier. I was so pleasantly surprised with this experience! I definitely went in nervous, I don’t like things close to my eyes, but it was only 2-3 minutes each eye & the actual laser part was only 23 seconds (I know because they count down this part which is very comforting). Bedside manner was excellent for all involved, especially Dr. Gudury & his assistant. They were so reassuring, confident, and the best pair I’ve been around in the medical field. Kayln was also great to talk to, very kind & informative. I was astonished I could see the same day & could see things farther away more clearly than before but just seemed like a light fog/looking through very watery eyes the first day. Everyday I progressed significantly. My surgery was on a Friday, on Monday at my follow up I could already see better than 20/20! I like to sew & my vision was only still a little blurry when trying to thread a needle at this point, but now I can see perfectly even doing that. It was about week 2 1/2 when I noticed I can see my needle hole perfectly & vision is at its full potential. More

I have had vision issues from my teenage issues into my early 40s. I went in and was able to get an assessement and the SMILE surgery within the same day by Kayla and Dr Jones. I opted for the SMILE procedure to minimize the dry eye issues i have. Overall the surgery was very painless and lasted < 30 minutes. By the end of it i could see with only a light white fogging right after the procedure. Following that i mostly slept the rest of the day (Friday). Saturday I stayed in bed mostly listening to the comedians with my eyes closed to minimize any dry eye issues. Note I could see clearly but had itchy eyes through the weekend. I went back on Monday to find that my vision was now 20-20. Overall couldn't be happier with the procedure. So glad I went here to get my eyes fixed. I was worried how bad the procedure would be or the pain afterwards and I don't think it's bad at all. Basically you will feel like you have sawdust in your eyes for the recuperating period. Can not recommend this place enough. More
Amazing results and an incredible experience. As an EMS Helicopter Pilot my vision directly affects the safety of my crew and the patients we carry. When I began noticing vision problems (cataracts) that were reaching the limit of what my glasses could correct I began looking for options. After speaking with several people in the medical field and other pilots, the clear choice (pun intended) was Wang Vision Institute. Time was of the essence because I was not going to be able to fly once I got the process started and they were able to get me in for an exam and scheduled my surgery almost immediately. I believe it was Scott that performed my initial exam and you couldn’t ask for a nicer guy. Very patient and willing to answer all of my questions. Most of which were “what does that thingy do?” After my initial assessment I met with Dr Zimmerman who explained all of their findings to me and made sure I understood my condition and what my options were. I did not feel that anyone tried to “up-sell” anything or get me to buy anything I didn’t want. As a mater of fact he recommended against the most costly option based on my needs. I knew exactly what I needed and what I was paying for. My lens replacement surgery was performed by Dr Guduru who was more than accommodating and worked with me on scheduling. To say I was nervous was an understatement. The entire staff at the eye surgery clinic put me at ease (the Valium may have helped). Dr Guduru did an excellent job on the surgery and I was amazed at the results only hours after the surgery when the sedative wore off. The worst part of the process was the wait between getting both eyes done. Less than 3 days after having my second eye done, my vision is better now than it has been at any point in my life (20/15). I know results can vary and it is a lot of money to spend but much like a divorce; eye surgery is expensive because it is worth it. More
My experience with the team at Wang has been beyond my expectations! I came in white knuckle nervous because my eyes are extremely sensitive, however everyone was exceptionally kind and thoughtful from the way things were explained to how they actually performed the procedure. I had LASIK done on both eyes and woke up with 20/20 vision the best day! I’ve never been more excited to see the world. I have been in glasses since I was 9 years old and now at almost 27 I can ditch the hassle of wearing glasses. Dr. Abhi Guduru was my surgeon and he was AMAZING as well as Dr. Jake Wysiadlowski my optometrist. Ashley and the whole team were very kind and helpful with any and ever question me and my mom had. I had a very good experience with getting the Smile procedure. It is 3 months after my procedure. I definitely did my research beforehand, and asked the doctor many questions, and he answered every one. The procedure itself was quick, (a few minutes per eye) and I did not feel any pain. Still a bit nerve-wracking, but the doctor talks you through it. Blurred vision the day of the procedure is normal. They say to keep your eyes closed as much as possible the rest of the day, and try to sleep. The first week of recovery was the most challenging because you have to put many different medicated drops in. But it’s worth it, I believe! The first day was the hardest, but every day gets progressively better afterwards. I had 20/20 vision the day after the procedure! Pretty amazing. But I was sensitive to light for a few days. I had the starburst affect on lights at night for a few weeks. But it got progressively better. And they did not ‘bribe’ me to leave a 5-star review! I truly had a great experience. I live in Arkansas and chose to have my eyes checked at Wang Vision Institute and I'm so glad that I did! I had RK surgery done back in the early 90's and had scar tissue and residual problems with astigmatism years later. I was told by other Dr's there was nothing I could do to fix the problems. I met with Dr. Guduru and he was very confidant he could help me. I had to sign a waiver that stated, I would still have to wear reading glasses, but that was better than having to wear glasses all the time. Well I'm 2 weeks post op on my left eye, and 1 week post op on my right eye. I can read near and far, and couldn't be happier with the outcome! My eyesight is only going to continue to get better! My mother went in for Cataracts Surgery & we tried out Wang Vision Institute based on the positive reviews. We're happy to report that my mother no longer needs reading glasses! We received detailed instructions on how the surgery was to be performed, where to go, and what to do after. Dr. Guduru did the surgery & we were in & out in about 3 hours. I chose Wang Vision over other facilities because they have a relocation of being the best and I’d have to say that I completely agree! I’m 48 and just got lasik surgery on both eyes. They were able to correct to my distance vision without having to lose my close up vision so now I don’t need glasses or contacts at all! No distance or reading glasses. Dr. Guduru performed my procedure and Cameron was my coordinator and both have been wonderful! The site staff are always very friendly and helpful. The facility is beautiful, clean and comfortable and even have drinks and snacks for you while you wait (although I’ve never waited more than 5 minutes for my appointments). They are adamant about you keeping your FU appoints and reaching out to them with questions or concerns. I just completed my final follow up appointment and my eyes have healed beautifully and zero complications. Wow, this was a great experience all the way around! From clear directions to the office and surgery center, friendly Cameron that handled my surgery, the young lady who handled my eye tests (Gabby?), Scott was totally cool and friendly as was Dr. Wish who tested my eyes and knew his business! I'd been considering getting LASIK for years when I finally decided to just go for the consultation and exam. After hearing about the SMILE procedure, choosing Wang Vision Institute was a no brainer. I'm not normally nervous about anything, but I was a little keyed up waiting for my exam and to find out if I was a good candidate. However, *everyone* I interacted with was so calm and friendly that it all felt normal and routine. **Cameron** is an amazing surgical counselor, who took the time to make sure I understood the commitment involved with the surgery. My technicians Scott, Kayla, James and especially **Amanda W.** helped me through every step of the process. (Amanda is so awesome - I felt like my eyes were getting a relaxing, warm spa treatment!) And Baileah did an excellent job coordinating payment and scheduling for my surgery and post-op follow ups. Dr. Zimmerman examined the current state of my eyesight and helped me understand exactly what was going to happen during the SMILE procedure. And I can't praise **Dr. Guduru** enough for his calm manner and precision that got me through the hardest part of the SMILE surgery with flying colors. Besides the outstanding staff, you can expect the exam day to be long because you can get your procedure done the same day if you are a good candidate. (There are complimentary snacks & water while you go through all the tests and exam.) And you do need someone to go with you so they can drive you home while you close/rest your eyes. I slept through the drive, the rest of the afternoon, and right into the night. By morning, my vision was significantly improved and by my first post-op, I was seeing 20/13 vision! It's really important to follow the post-surgery routine as closely as possible for your eyes to heal. I contribute both Dr. Guduru's skill and the post-surgery routine to my excellent recovery. It feels amazing to see better than even my contacts could correct and not need them or my glasses anymore! More
This place gave us a complimentary consult and same day treatment, which was great considering I work as a welder and can't wear my glasses at work - so I was able to plan this around our annual shut down. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, even when things got a little difficult with the HSA card. We got there about 15 minutes early and got called back right away, exam was fast and easy, took a few minutes for the doctor to come back, he was friendly and examined me quickly, answering all of our questions thoroughly and without making us feel any type of way about them, the financial coordinator took a while to come in, but was helpful one he got in there and explained the pricing for us, even helped us apply for financing. The front helped us deal with HSA card issues, worked with my night shift schedule, and I even checked in on Facebook and got my girlfriend a Starbucks gift card! The only complaint about that process is some of the things they "upsold" us on - I didn't feel like gave the best explanation. The eyelid cleaning - was a HORRIBLE experience and I wouldn't ever get that or recommend it to anyone. I felt like it was a waste of money, didn't do much, but also wasn't fully explained just recommended/told I had to get. The lady who did it cleaned them with a brush, which was fine, but then used the bright light (without telling me it would be a bright light, right after my eyes were dilated) and shoved it into my eye socket, even when I pulled back and told her it was really tough her response "yeah it's a little uncomfortable" with a laugh - just felt like she didn't truly know how to do it right and caused a lot of pain before I even had the procedure. I asked for the Valium beforehand/told her they should give it before that as I was already anxious - she just laughed and said I get it after. My girlfriend even went home and watched some videos on the treatment and says that is NOT how the lady did it - for $650 an eye I feel like that should've been a better experience. I also think they could've explained the SMILE procedure itself a little better and how the flow would go - I was anxious about the laser, but not being able to move at all for thirty seconds sent my anxiety and blood pressure skyrocketing - and I feel I would've been better prepared if they told me ahead of time what to expect. I also got the little tear duct plugs they recommend - and then at the follow up the next day had to have one taken out, just didn't make sense, if they were that needed why was it removed next day, but the rest stay for 3-4 months. Overall I had a good experience and I would do it again without question. My vision was improved that day, and other than a little blurriness I'm able to see without corrective lenses for the first time in my life - and I had HORRIBLE vision. I have worn glasses/contacts for over 30 years. Up until now, eye doctors told me that I was not a candidate for vision correction due to very high myopia (nearly -10), scleral buckle, and multiple retinal detachments. After a lot of research, I decided to send Dr. Wang’s office an email to explain my situation. Surprisingly, Dr. Wang himself responded! We continued a conversation through email that convinced me to visit his office in Nashville. From the time I arrived to the completion of my surgery, the staff was amazing! They made me feel so comfortable and patiently answered my long list of questions. A special shout out to Dr. Sarah Connelly, who was spectacular! The doctors determined that I was indeed a candidate for both Lasik and SMILE. I chose SMILE due to the smaller incision. Not going to lie, the surgery itself was intense. Afterwards, Dr. Wang took the time to make a short video with me and my dad as I opened my eyes and could actually see without glasses or contacts for the first time since childhood. I have worn contacts/glasses for over 18 years. Friday, Dr. Wang performed 3D SMILE on me and now I never have to wear glasses or contacts again! The entire staff made me feel at ease and took such good care of me. Dr. Wang prayed before the procedure and verbally walked me through every step. My vision was so poor before this surgery that I could be sitting next to someone without glasses and not be able to see their facial features. This process is miraculous. I am still so overwhelmed with emotion and have been reflecting on scripture relating to blind eyes being opened in such a different light. Dr. Wang, Dr. Connolly, Dr. Rock, Dr. Zimmerman, and ALL of the additional staff members are fantastic and caring. It's been about 8 months since my surgery. I am enjoying it! No more dealing with glasses. I attended Dr. Wang's seminar which was very interesting and my name was picked from the drawing. I was shocked! That never happens to me so I call myself a "special candidate" because my eyes to every other office was a challenge. I would always be the one to order "special glasses" the ones they never had in stock. Thanks to Dr. Wang he was able to make me glasses free. He will call you to check on you after a couple of hours after surgery. He will pray right before surgery and I appreciated that. I sure was nervous but with the Lord by your side no need to worry. I was wearing glasses & contacts for 13yrs & my eyes were becoming very dry & eyelids were negatively reacting to my contacts which is why I did the surgery. I am healing faster than expected after a few days of the procedure, my eyes are less dry, vision is much better, & I would recommend SMILE to anyone who is near sighted. It is less invasive, safer, & smaller complications. Worth it! More

Dr. Wang is the best in town! I was wearing contacts & glasses for about 13yrs where my eyes were getting very dry & contacts where causing a physical reaction. As a result, I went & did the SMILE surgery which is great if you are near sighted. It is less invasive, less complications, & safer than all the other options. If you can handle getting a tattoo, you can handle the discomfort of this surgery which is about 1-2mins per eye; I experience nothing in my right eye & some in my left where eye drops fixed that right after the surgery. I have no redness & for about a week you will need to use special eye drops to heal. Dr. Wang & staff spent plenty of time with me & I think it is his life's mission to do this kind of work. I trust him not only by his credentials but he is a perfectionist in surgery. I would for sure go to the free educational seminars before to see if you can get a better discount. I would ask where do other doctors go when they need Lasik, & I would ask competitors if they use a blade... He has the latest technology & is worth the price. My BF had his eyes done there back in Sept. so we referred a friend that was told her Fuchs Dystrophy would prevent her from getting laser done and Dr. Wang assured her the original doctor was wrong, he fixed her sight. Just recommend my mom to Dr. Wang for her cataract surgery. She's so happy with her results. Can't mess with your eyes so you need to go with the best, even if you think he may be more expensive. You'd be surprised. Dr.Wang calls all of his patients himself to check on you as well. We love him. More

The burning was gone by the next morning, with residual dryness for one week that was kept at bay with artificial tears. Halos during the night time persisted for two weeks but then resolved. Otherwise, my vision was great from even day one post-op, and continued to improve to near perfect by one month. There are cheaper options available in town. But I couldn't cheap out on my only pair of eyeballs. And I would make the same decision again if I were given the choice. More
After huge frustration with the medical institution that begins with a "V," due to being put on hold forever, wasting too much time navigating their website, then them not having an available appointment for another eight weeks (!) I googled eye doctors, and because I have had LASIK in the past, Wang Institute immediately grabbed my attention. I called and got through immediately, :) and, shockingly was given an appointment (thanks to a cancellation) the very next morning at 8am! :)) Once in the office, I was impressed by the attention and organization of checking in and being directed through he process. I have put off LASIK surgery for years, thinking I just didn't have time to deal with the process. After attending one of Dr. Wang's seminars, I decided to make the time to schedule a consultation. I arrived for my appointment and the evaluation began immediately. (The office runs extremely smoothly and I can certainly appreciate it when a professional values my time.) After numberous test, it was determined that I was a candidate for the LASIK procedure. Having been completely dependant on contacts for over 30 years, I was thrilled to hear this! Less than 3 hours after my appointment start time, my bladeless LASIK procedure was complete and I was on my way home. I had no pain, no burning, and no irritation. The next morning, less than 24 hours after my procedure, I was driving myself, contact and glasses FREE, to my check up. As I expected, my eyes were healing wonderfully already. I am completely amazed at the ability to see clearly without any help. I only wish I had done it sooner. The entire staff, and Dr. Wang himself, was a joy to work with. I have experienced Dr. Wang's skills and blessings through another patient, Thom Bresh. On a scale of 1 to 4, Thom’s cataracts were off the scale and "inoperable'. This prognosis was given him by two different Ophthalmologists in two different states. Dr. Wang confirmed it. Then, in a quiet voice, he said, "But I can do it for you". He did! Thom left the procedure with 20/20 vision in both eyes! Naturally, when it came to my own surgery, I chose Dr. Wang. I admit, I did price shop. It's difficult to explain how it feels to type this review with my naked eyes just one day after my 3D LASIK procedure. The proof is in the pudding, I suppose, since yesterday morning my vision could not even be measured on the 20/- scale. In that space on my chart, they wrote "CF3," which means "counting fingers at three feet." This morning I woke up and was able to see the faces of my family for the first time without corrective lenses. I was amazed at the crisp detail of my vision and how well my eyes were already healing. I went in for my follow-up exam today, and my vision is now 20/20, though it may get even better over the next few weeks as my eyes continue to heal. Now, you have probably figured out that you will pay more for Dr. Wang's services than you will at other laser vision providers. This is not because of hype. It's because he is the best of the best. He is so far ahead of the curve on these technologies that there is really no comparison. We had to do a lot of financial shuffling to make it work, but we believe what we were effectively paying for was a significantly increased risk of a great outcome. To use a sports analogy that will show my age, a lot of people can play basketball. Not everyone is Michael Jordan. Some helpful info to consider: -I chose to do a consultation and, if it was determined I was a candidate, have the procedure same-day. From what I understand, this is only done on Fridays. You can expect it to take up the whole day. We were not uncomfortable at all, but it would be a good idea to bring snacks and/or pack a lunch if you choose to go this route because you probably won't feel like eating after the procedure. -Each and every member of the staff was kind and genuine, took time to address all questions and concerns I (or my husband) had, and made me feel safe and comfortable. -I rejected the offer of a sedative before the procedure and was totally fine. It is a little strange to be fully aware of everything that's going on, but know that if taking mood-altering substances makes you uncomfortable, you can and will be fine without doing so. For me personally, I felt I would be better able to follow instructions and understand what was happening to me without the drugs. At no point did I feel I pressured to take or do anything. -For the rest of the day after the procedure, you will feel pretty crappy. It will be indescribably better the next day, but be prepared that the first 6-8 hours will be unpleasant. Plan to go home, lay down, and keep your eyes closed (except when you take your many eye drops) until the morning after. Plan to have someone with you at home to help you administer drops and gather things you need, as your eyes will be sore and tire easily, and your vision will still be blurry. Dr. Wang is a strong adherent to Christian faith. He prays a quick but audible prayer before every surgery he performs. While I do not share his religious beliefs, I also did not find them a barrier to our rapport. He is a man who walks the walk and doesn't just talk the talk, so to speak. Overall, I would recommend Dr. Wang to anyone who wants a laser vision surgery of any kind. I researched for two years, and in the end there was simply no one better. More
Dr. Wang and his staff were absolutely amazing. I couldn't even think about going without my contacts or glasses before my surgery. It literally took less than 15-20 min. I was back on my feet and eating lunch with my parents at a restaurant within the hour. It is such a crazy feeling to know that I will never have to wear glasses or contacts again. It truly is a blessing and I woke up this morning and drove around just to look around with what I like to call my new eyes. You always hear take care of your eyes because you only get one pair. It is very true but thats why I definitely recommend Dr. Wang because the one pair I was given was tremendously improved. He and his staff were all so friendly and professional and make you feel like family. God places certain people in your life for a reason and I'm so glad mine and Dr. Wangs paths crossed. I have been wanting LASIK for years, but just couldn't pull the trigger. I decided to go to a Wang Vision seminar and was impressed by the Dr. Wang. I could tell he was passionate about vision correction and is on the cutting edge of laser technology. I decided to go ahead with the procedure... Since I live an hour away, I decided to get the evaluation and (hopefully) the procedure in the same day. Sure enough, I was a good candidate. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable, explaining to me each test that was run. They also answered all of my questions. Dr. Wang performed my operation, and I was done by 12:30 that day. First, I cannot possibly say enough good things about Dr. Wang. I started off reading about him online and being simply blown away by his credentials. I knew I wanted to learn more, so I went to his information session, and was chosen for a 50% off coupon, which was obviously huge! I thought I was impressed with his accomplishments before going to this session, but I teared up multiple times seeing his genuine heart for people and the work he's done with orphans and people all over the world. Second, I made my decision to go ahead with the surgery. Everyone in the office was friendly, welcoming and calming. I decided to take the sedative before the surgery and honestly i'm glad I did. For some, it's very uneventful, but for me, I was quite nervous through all of it. That said, Dr. Wang prayed over me beforehand (which, as a Christ follower, was one of the most comforting moments of the day) and then began the surgery. He talked me through it, always communicating what was happening each step of the way. The whole surgery was no more than 10 minutes and that was it! The first night, my eyes stung quite a bit, but after a round of Motrin, it subsided early in the night. I slept through the night, woke up today, and i have 20/20 vision in both eyes! They told me it will continue to improve slightly over the next couple of weeks as well!! My eyes feel a little like I have a piece of dust in them today, but it's very bearable. Would I recommend Dr. Wang? A thousand times over. I don't trust my eyes with any other doctor. I researched LASIK for about 4 years before moving forward and I don't believe there is anyone better in the business or more qualified. Don't wait. Just do it. Dr. Wang has removed both my cataracts, the second one just last week. That night I peeked out the hotel curtain in Nashville and was astonished at the brightness of the city lights - even the chrome on the cars! I hadn't really seen them for over a decade. I had put off having cataract surgery because it was scary. The eyes are so precious. You don't know what the doctor is going to do or what will happen. But at last, when everything looked slightly yellow, and I could no longer see the ducks on the lake, or read the expressions on jurors' faces (I am an attorney) I made the appointment. Now I can see well again! I can identify the ducks on the lake, recognize everybody in church, and study the faces of the jurors on the panel. They keep you informed up to the minute, and the evening of my Laser Cataract Surgery, I get a call at home from Dr. Wang himself, not a nurse or receptionist asking me to hold for Dr. Wang, but Dr. Wang himself calling just to check on my well-being. And he didn't call because I had some complications, there were none. The Dr. just called after a long day just to check on me and my well being. I am more than impressed. My Experience LASIK 3D I called Wang Vision for lasik the new 3d lasik, the lady i spoke with was nice. I saw in the local paper there was a seminar, I went learned a lot about my particular procedure. I am 24 and I cant see far away so distance is my problem i was a -3.75 had to have glasses at all times even to watch tv or read the clock in the morning I also had a stigmatism i saw some things double vision or blurred to best describe little did i know my eye Dr Wang said there like a football is what a Stigmatism looks like in your eye. during the seminar Dr. Wang was there and got to meet the famous Wang himself not only is he a good Dr. hes a special man that god has blessed us with learned alot about his background which was hard in such a young life which he had great parents that were both smart doctors which made another great doctor. He talked about how he has helped even the blind be able to see a little from seeing black to seeing her face for the first time. So dont think your eyes cant be done. Wang helps people that truly needs it like blind orphans Thats one of the main reasons i went with Wang not only is he a great Dr. he has a heart of gold. My appointment went good every staff member he has was nice, a lot of places you go there is usually a couple that are so rude. They test you like a normal eye exam i was able to get lasik done they will tell you that day or your choice of getting it done the day of. you cant wear contacts for a week before surgery. You get medicine to calm your nerves, Dr Wang will pray on you and talk you through the whole surgery he will let you know what he is doing you wont feel anything but a little pressure it takes about 20 mins and you walk out after i got to my hotel i put the eye drops in and my eyes started feeling less dry i could see as if i was wearing my glasses right after i got up from the chair its truly amazing. you need to close your eyes and sleep after the surgery it heals when you wake up. The next morning i went back So Wang could check my eyes he said they look great, my eyes were red which is normal it was from the suction cup during the surgery it didnt hurt during the surgery just red after. Now i am on the 3rd day my eyes are still red but getting better, some peoples eyes clear right up the next day. You just have to use eye drops. ALL my stress about lasik and the laser its nothing to stress about at all! I went Wang Vision Institute for my LASIK eye surgery, they are very thourogh. I was impressed by the staff's knowledge, and tenderness. I was told by another LASIK doctor that I would not be a candidate for LASIK because my eye lense was too small for a blade. Doctor Wang was the only place in TN who could do my LASIK because he doesn't use a blade. My LASIK surgery went pretty well, even though I was very scared, I cried a ton but the staff just kept telling me my surgery was great, that I did great. I also found it very warming that Doc. Wang prays before your surgery. I cannot give enough kind words for this man, he is simple incredible and I am very happy I got my eyes correct here. More

Dr. Wang is the only doctor/eye surgeon I would allow to operate on my eyes. Your sight and vision is a precious gift and you should entrust it to the top doctor in this field. I would only recommend Dr. Wang to any and all prospective patients looking to have any type of eye operation and/or surgical procedure. Personally, I would not let any of my family members or friends go to any other doctor/eye surgeon. Dr. Wang has a proven track record of success; not to mention he is an inventor of many pioneering eye procedures as well as advanced technologies. He achieved outstanding academic successes at both Harvard where he received his MD and graduated with magna cum laude honors and then graduated from MIT with a PhD is Laser Physics. Dr. Wang is one of the kindest and friendliest doctors I have ever met. He completely puts you at ease prior, during and after your procedure. In my case, I had the 3D LASIK (TN’s only blade less) surgery. Dr. Wang even allowed my Dad to stay in the surgical suite during the operation for moral support which was extraordinarily kind. During the procedure, I felt no pain or discomfort. Dr. Wang kept my eyes extremely lubricated and talked me through each step of the procedure in a calm trusting voice. I was completely at ease and relaxed the entire time during the procedure—it surprised me! I thought I would be extremely nervous but I was the complete opposite: calm, cool and collected. I received 3D LASIK from Dr. Wang and his staff; they were thorough, trustworthy, and courteous. I attended one of their seminars and received extensive information on Dr. Wang and the procedures offered; I signed up for a consultation that day. On the day of the consultation/procedure, I went through a comprehensive eye exam and was informed that I was a good candidate for LASIK. After an hour or two of waiting, I then had my procedure done. I was somewhat nervous, but it was all in all painless and did not last longer than thirty minutes, if not fifteen. After keeping my eyes closed that day and a night sleep, I woke up with perfect vision except for the slight blurriness. My follow-up appointment the day after the procedure ensured that it was successful, and I am now putting drops in for the next couple of weeks to avoid dry eyes and help the healing process. All in all, I would highly recommend Dr. Wang. He has an astoundingly impressive resume and is a kind person. I felt confident in the 3D LASIK procedure because it was bladeless and guaranteed to be precise. The results met every expectation that I had and I cannot be more thankful. Having worn glasses most of my life, and never having had eye surgery before, I was a little apprehensive in having 3D Laser cataract surgery. I was amazed that right after the surgery I could see clearly, and the cloudiness was gone! Wow! Dr. Wang and his staff did an amazing job of answering my questions, putting me at ease, and making sure that I understood what was going on (I am Deaf). Dr. Wang performed 3D lasik astigmatism and cataract surgery for me, and I had an excellent experience. Dr. Wang and his staff are very accommodating, warm, and professional. It's difficult to explain how it feels to type this review with my naked eyes just one day after my 3D LASIK procedure. The proof is in the pudding, I suppose, since yesterday morning my vision could not even be measured on the 20/- scale. In that space on my chart, they wrote "CF3," which means "counting fingers at three feet." This morning I woke up and was able to see the faces of my family for the first time without corrective lenses. I was amazed at the crisp detail of my vision and how well my eyes were already healing. I went in for my follow-up exam today, and my vision is now 20/20, though it may get even better over the next few weeks as my eyes continue to heal. Now, you have probably figured out that you will pay more for Dr. Wang's services than you will at other laser vision providers. This is not because of hype. It's because he is the best of the best. He is so far ahead of the curve on these technologies that there is really no comparison. We had to do a lot of financial shuffling to make it work, but we believe what we were effectively paying for was a significantly increased risk of a great outcome. To use a sports analogy that will show my age, a lot of people can play basketball. Not everyone is Michael Jordan. Some helpful info to consider: -I chose to do a consultation and, if it was determined I was a candidate, have the procedure same-day. From what I understand, this is only done on Fridays. You can expect it to take up the whole day. We were not uncomfortable at all, but it would be a good idea to bring snacks and/or pack a lunch if you choose to go this route because you probably won't feel like eating after the procedure. -Each and every member of the staff was kind and genuine, took time to address all questions and concerns I (or my husband) had, and made me feel safe and comfortable. -I rejected the offer of a sedative before the procedure and was totally fine. It is a little strange to be fully aware of everything that's going on, but know that if taking mood-altering substances makes you uncomfortable, you can and will be fine without doing so. For me personally, I felt I would be better able to follow instructions and understand what was happening to me without the drugs. At no point did I feel I pressured to take or do anything. -For the rest of the day after the procedure, you will feel pretty crappy. It will be indescribably better the next day, but be prepared that the first 6-8 hours will be unpleasant. Plan to go home, lay down, and keep your eyes closed (except when you take your many eye drops) until the morning after. Plan to have someone with you at home to help you administer drops and gather things you need, as your eyes will be sore and tire easily, and your vision will still be blurry. Dr. Wang is a strong adherent to Christian faith. He prays a quick but audible prayer before every surgery he performs. While I do not share his religious beliefs, I also did not find them a barrier to our rapport. He is a man who walks the walk and doesn't just talk the talk, so to speak. Overall, I would recommend Dr. Wang to anyone who wants a laser vision surgery of any kind. I researched for two years, and in the end there was simply no one better. More

Wang specializes in cataract surgery after Lasik. I was very nervous about the surgery, but Dr. Wang and his great staff put those concerns at ease. I came into the process with fairly high anxiety, but after speaking to Dr. Wang and his staff my anxiety decreased before my surgery even began. He was very realistic about what my possible outcome would be given my extreme nearsightedness, but he confidently encouraged me that he would be able to help increase my quality of life by considerably clearing up my vision. The surgery itself was quick. He and his staff talked me through each step, and counted back to how much time remained my procedure. Immediately following the procedure I could already see better than I have in years. After a night of rest, keeping my eyes well hydrated, and staying on the prescribed medicine regimen I returned for my post procedure check up and I was seeing better than he expected. I received 3D LASIK from Dr. Wang and his staff; they were thorough, trustworthy, and courteous. I attended one of their seminars and received extensive information on Dr. Wang and the procedures offered; I signed up for a consultation that day. On the day of the consultation/procedure, I went through a comprehensive eye exam and was informed that I was a good candidate for LASIK. After an hour or two of waiting, I then had my procedure done. I was somewhat nervous, but it was all in all painless and did not last longer than thirty minutes, if not fifteen. After keeping my eyes closed that day and a night sleep, I woke up with perfect vision except for the slight blurriness. My follow-up appointment the day after the procedure ensured that it was successful, and I am now putting drops in for the next couple of weeks to avoid dry eyes and help the healing process. All in all, I would highly recommend Dr. Wang. He has an astoundingly impressive resume and is a kind person. I felt confident in the 3D LASIK procedure because it was bladeless and guaranteed to be precise. The results met every expectation that I had and I cannot be more thankful. The only complaint I have is that the wait to get the procedure was somewhat long. There were 30 procedures done the day I had mine, which is a testament to how many people trust and recommend Dr. Wang. More

I received 3D LASIK from Dr. Wang and his staff; they were thorough, trustworthy, and courteous. I considered lasik for years, almost a decade actually. I've interviewed doctors in Memphis, Birmingham, Huntsville and of course Nashville. I only considered the doctors who got the top referrals and ratings. This was never something I was wanting to get a "good deal" on - I simply wanted the best. Dr. Wang was my choice because: 1. He has an excellent educational background (he knows both medicine and lasers.) 2. He's performed many procedures. 3. I figured that he would care about his patients. The last part was important because I didn't want to be just another procedure enabling my doctor to play golf on the weekends. I wanted a doctor who would treat my procedure as important to him. I am so glad I chose Dr. Wang. You can read all about the first two points, so really you probably just want to hear about the third point. I guessed that he would care about his patients because of all of the charity work he does, and my guess was right. Dr. Wang emails and calls his patients personally. His operating assistant walked me back to my hotel lobby (I was in Nashville alone getting lasik.) I received a follow up call the evening of my surgery from him asking if I was ok. Everything went well but I know that if there ever was a complication or if one develops he will be available to help. Since this is my eyesight I'm dealing with that's important to me. Also, it was a wonderful surprise to me to learn about Dr. Wang's faith as a Christian after choosing him purely on the basis of who I thought the best doctor would be. I asked Dr. Wang to pray with me before the surgery and he did. If you want Dr. Wang to operate on you because of his science background that's great. His credentials are there. I was so glad to have both the scientific expertise and God on my side when going through eye surgery. I have no doubt that God was and is watching over my eyes and also over Dr. Wang's work. Regardless of your religious background my recommendation is to go to Dr. Wang for lasik. There are many great doctors and I might have had a great lasik experience elsewhere. I have worn glasses since I was 8. I had 3D lasik by Dr. Wang yesterday. This morning when I woke up I could see!!!! No glasses or contacts. Not to be punny but I could not believe my eyes! Everyone was so nice and knowledgeable. My experience at Wang Vision Institute went well. I had the PRK procedure, which takes longer to heal. These first few days my vision has been blurry and I experienced mild discomfort such as dry eyes, light sensitivity, burning and sharp pains which are common side effects. However, before the side effects, I could tell immediately my vision had improved. The required eye drops and other medication can run a bit high ranging from $119 and up depending on insurance. My name is Charlene Cain. I had severe astigmatism for 40 years. Every eye doctor I have seen told me that having any surgery to correct my vision was out of the question. I am really excited how I am able to see so much better to read and write. Dr. Wang took his time to call me after surgery to check on me that night and that showed how much he cared about me as a person and my vision. I will have a much better life now with being able to see. I recommend anyone wearing reading glasses/prescription glasses to come have your eyes renewed with Dr. Wang. I heard about Dr. Wang by Facebook and went to one of his seminars in cookville tn. I was very impressed by his desire to help people and his desire to follow God. I love that God is using him to touch so many people's lives. I new after my visit that night and that I would not have anyone else do my surgery and that he would ask God to be with me in my decision. Their was such security in knowing this. Yesterday I underwent my LASIK surgery with Dr. Wang. This place is very thorough, taking many tests before doing the procedure. This made me have more trust in Dr. Wang and his systems. I had somewhat severe astigmatism, and he said I was a tough case. I am a cosmetic/general dentist, so my eyes are very important for my work. He then went on to show me a text book he had written on the subject of astigmatism, this let me know I was in the right place. It looks like he's basically worked on every celebrity that lives in Nashville, from looking around his office. I couldn't be more pleased with the experience. The exam is very thourough, and takes a little while for all the data to be collected, but I think it probably makes the surgery safer. The actual procedure might have taken 2-3 minutes. I didn't even need the Valium. More

Nothing could be further from the truth... and I know from personal experience! First, Dr. Wang gave me hope after several surgeons in the area said I wasn't a candidate for LASIK--but Dr. Wang was able to do the surgery, and I have enjoyed the blessing of great vision ever since! THEN my mother came from CA for Dr. Wang to do her cataract surgery, which also had a great outcome, so much so that when she went back to her eye doctor in CA, he checked her eyes and said, â??This cataract surgery has clearly been done by an 'elite surgeon', and I know there are only a few like him in the world!â?? This was an unsolicited comment, so I trust this doctorâ??s opinion! Since then, the rest of my family has had successful eye surgeries with Dr. Wang, and I have also referred many patients to him (INCLUDING some who are â??low incomeâ??), and they too were treated with as much respect as those who could afford expensive options. I have never referred a single person to Dr. Wang who has said anything negative about their experience, so I feel this reviewerâ??s comments are completely unfounded, and I hope that anyone reading them will disregard them! I was nervous at first because right after my procedure my eyes were sensitive to light. But I followed their instructions on medications and drops and my eyes felt healed in 5 hours. I could see without glasses. I slept a lot so that they would heal faster and so as not to strain the eyes. Today I woke up and my eyes were no longer sensitive to light and I can see everything clear. I feel it was worth every penny of the cost. I had a very difficult RX to treat, and other surgeons told me over and over "you are not a candidate for LASIK!" But a friend told me to go to Dr. Wang because he is often able to treat patients who haven't been candidates elsewhere because of his expertise & he uses the best technology! I'm glad I listened to my friend because I now have 20/15 vision! I've never been so free! :-) If Dr. Wang is so much more expensive than other surgeons (which was not my experience either--I shopped around, believe me!), then he's worth EVERY PENNY! Guys, don't bargain on your eyes!!! Go to Dr. Wang! They even offer 0% financing so it's not worth compromising when they make it affordable! More

I did my research beforehand & learned those lenses are more difficult to do, so since Mom was coming from California for her surgery, I wanted her to have the best!!! Well, she had such great results, That when her doctor back in CA checked her eyes a few weeks later, he said, " I can tell by looking at your eyes that your surgery was done by an EXPERT! ONLY a few surgeons in the world could've done a job of this caliber!! You picked the right doctor for sure!" Since then, my mom's friend has come from CA for her own surgery...& 2 more friends plan to come for theirs as well!! More
