Recently underwent bilateral cataract surgery at WVI. My surgeon was Dr. K. Jones. I could not have been more pleased with the entire experience from initial evaluation to completion.I had excellent results from previous Lasik surgery some 20 plus years ago. With the normal aging process, I began experiencing aggravating symptoms of cataract formation. This included problems with perception, definition of numbers and letters, inability to read labels in fine print without magnification, and avoidance of driving at night. Due to the expertise of Dr. Jones and his team, my symptoms have amazingly resolved with surgical intervention. I do not need corrective glasses post-op and could not be more pleased with the outcome. Absolutely amazing!!! More

As an alternative to LASIK surgery, Dr. Wang's Staff recommended the SMILE procedure to correct my vision without lenses. My active lifestyle and professional demands being a career firefighter and paramedic allows little recovery time and requires adequate vision. Dr. Wang's staff had me back to work with missing only one shift day. My first follow up appointment with Dr. Jones showed that my eyes were healing better than expected with my vision improving to better than what it is was with contacts. This place gave us a complimentary consult and same day treatment, which was great considering I work as a welder and can't wear my glasses at work - so I was able to plan this around our annual shut down. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, even when things got a little difficult with the HSA card. We got there about 15 minutes early and got called back right away, exam was fast and easy, took a few minutes for the doctor to come back, he was friendly and examined me quickly, answering all of our questions thoroughly and without making us feel any type of way about them, the financial coordinator took a while to come in, but was helpful one he got in there and explained the pricing for us, even helped us apply for financing. The only complaint I have is they could've gave us a little more explanation on some things. But overall it was the best thing I could've done. More

I have been wearing contacts/glasses since I was 11. I made sure I stayed on top of my eye appointments which I dread, because my eyesight was so bad. All I ever heard was my gosh your blind. If your eyesight keeps getting worse you will have your license pulled. I have also been advised that I could not do eye surgery since my eyesight was so bad. I scheduled my evaluation and was able to get a good understanding of which surgery (lasik or smile) was for me. I was able to schedule my lasik procedure a few weeks afterwords. The surgery was painless and quick. Recovery is also painless, just follow your doctor's orders and recovery will go great! More

The ideal experience at Wang Vision Institute.I was provided thorough and prompt instructions and guidelines via email prior to coming in. Once in the office, the staff completed the initial tests/exams to determine if I was a candidate for Lasik and/or SMILE. I was a candidate for both, fortunately and ultimately opted for SMILE because of my “high prescription”, over -4.0 in each eye.All in all, a wonderful experience without a hitch - and pain free. I've been recommending Wang Vision Institute to all my friends and family. I had really bad vision for such a long time (-9.75 and -10), and was not qualified for LASIK. I more recently started having trouble seeing up close, as my prescription was so high it was distorting images nearby! I felt that I may never be able to see clearly... until I decided to have one more opinion. When I first stepped into the office of Wang Vision Institute, I felt instantly at home. I went through some tests, and was told I qualified for SMILE!! The staff was great, from my very first consultation appointment to all my follow up appointments! I’ve wanted to have vision correction for the longest time. I have worn glasses since the age of 7 and contacts from my teen years. Now 36 I have no of ever seeing without having to have them on. Where to begin? I recently got SMILE surgery at Wang Vision Institute in mid-April, only to be able to type this message comfortably without glasses before May. I had (very) recently went and had an eye exam (in a mall location) and was treated with urgency, and the results were still very blurry vision (even with a new prescription.) I was frustrated and thought maybe I was going blind- that's when I decided, I was tired of not being able to see and, I wanted Lasik so I called Wang Vision. They were able to schedule a consultation within days. I was then able to have my SMILE lasik the same day (as my consultation), so no stress or high anxiety of waiting for weeks.The staff from start to finish were all very nice, extra accommodating, and very thorough. I just recently had LASIK done by Dr. Wang at Wang Vision Institute. I had been wanting LASIK for so long as I have been in glasses/contacts for almost a decade. I got SMILE two days ago, a form of laser eye correction. I cried after surgery because immediately after I could see people's faces without glasses for the first time ever. The morning after, I woke up and my vision was only a little worse than when I put glasses on (50% recovery). I had the SMILE procedure done in August and I am so pleased with the results. Dr. Frenkel was amazing! I have been wearing glasses and contacts since I was in first grade and my contact prescription was -8. I honestly could not remember a time when I was able to see more than blurry colors and shapes without glasses or contacts. On day 1 after the procedure, I could already drive myself and see better than with my contacts (due to my astigmatism, my contacts would not always stay in place or focus well). Within 5 days, I had very clear vision and no discomfort. They set realistic expectations prior to the procedure since my prescription and astigmatism were so bad. It's been two weeks since my consultation and surgery (had them both on the same day) and I have been as happy as I can be with the whole experience and results so far. After getting SMILE surgery, I have 20/15 vision. Dr. Wang runs the best eye clinic I've ever been in. Wait time was nonexistent his staff talked me through every detail of the surgery, i.e. the amount of discomfort to expect and what I would have to do to ensure proper healing. That's right, not a nurse or an intern, but the doctor himself.As for business practices, I came in for a consultation about PRK laser surgery, which was a more expensive option than LASIK. Cataract surgery on both eyes left me far-sighted, after many years of being near-sighted. My brother referred me to Dr. Ming Wang, who fixed my vision with LASIK surgery on one eye only. I am now able to see perfectly with no assistance, i.e. glasses or contact lenses. The first appointment I made for a Lasik consult I canceled because I chickened out. Ashley was very understanding and answered all my questions.
