CK Radio Wave Treatment in Tennessee:
For patients who see well at a distance but desire help with near vision, we offer CK. This procedure utilizes radio frequency waves to reshape the peripheral cornea to create reading vision. The procedure is done on the non-dominant eye, leaving the dominant eye for distance so with both eyes open, you see both distance and near, reducing the need for reading glasses.
There are several advantages of having CK.
- It does not require a surgical flap.
- It treats over-40-year-old patients whose main problem is farsightedness and reading difficulty.
- It uses a metal probe to create a ring of dots in the peripheral part of the cornea, leaving the central vision untouched.
